In the Spring of 2007, we established Peaceful Solutions Counseling, Inc., a new non-profit counseling agency in Wausau, with the intent and mission to help intervene in the lives of child and adult victims of violence, abuse and trauma as well as the adults who are causing the violence.

We are now calling upon the passionate concern of dedicated individuals to help us achieve our mission.  We understand that the average citizen might feel overwhelmed with such pervasive societal problems such as domestic violence, sexual abuse and other trauma. They might believe that one person is unable to help create a change.  However, as Margaret Mead once stated, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has…”

Since we operate as a non-profit agency we service many children, adults and families who are uninsured and unable to pay for mental health services.  We believe that all people should have access to quality education and therapy.  We do not turn people away because of their inability to pay.  Therefore, we ask for you help.

As one person, your donation will help create a change for a child or adult in your community.  Rather than trying to solve all the problems we see on the daily news each day, you can begin with resolving the pain and trauma that one child may be experiencing today. You can help one person get the education and treatment they might need so the cycle of violence in their family stops today.  You can help one therapist purchase play therapy supplies so that a child can begin the healing process.

Because our organization is operated for charitable purposes, all gifts are tax deductible.  Any size donation is able to make an impact and would be greatly appreciated.  You are able to help one person...one child…one problem at a time.
