Ana Viars, MS, LPC-IT

Ana is a Licensed Professional Counselor In Training who completed her education at UW-Stout with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Ana has experience working with children and adolescents as well as adults. She sees clients ages 5 and up and uses creative arts and play therapy modalities to assist younger clients. She has experience working with children and adolescents who display behavioral concerns, such as defiance, through her internship work at a children’s day treatment facility. Ana also implements interventions based on adolescent and adult client’s preferences, such as talk therapies and creative arts modalities. Ana uses a range of counseling theories, though chooses techniques that best fit the client’s needs. Some of the counseling theories that Ana implements include: cognitive behavioral, relational cultural, psychodynamic, and mindfulness approaches.
